Welcome to the Museum, Curator!

🦕 Team Alpha

A crisis at the Museum!

A recent technical glitch caused significant data loss in our historical archives. Many of our carefully curated exhibits about Earth's geological history have been corrupted or lost entirely.

As a newly appointed Curator, your mission is to research and restore the missing exhibit data for your assigned time period.

📋 Your Assignment

✅ Exhibit Requirements & Grading Rubric

Your exhibit will be graded out of 100 points:

  • 📅 Period Dates + Featured Image 10 pts Enter the correct start/end dates (MYA) and upload a required featured image that represents your period
  • 🌍 Earth's Appearance 15 pts Describe continents, oceans, and geography + upload a relevant image of Earth during this period
  • 🌡️ Climate & Environment 20 pts Explain climate, temperature, and atmosphere + upload a relevant image showing the environment

🖼️ Image Guidelines

  • Featured Image (Required): A representative image for your period — this appears at the top of your exhibit and on your card in the timeline
  • Section Images (Required): Each content section needs a relevant image — these are graded on quality and appropriateness
  • Finding Images: Use educational sources like museum websites, National Geographic, or textbook resources
  • File Size: Images are automatically compressed, but try to keep originals under 5MB
  • Appropriateness: All images should be educational and appropriate for a classroom setting

⚠️ Academic Integrity

Your work must be your own. This is an individual research assignment.

  • 🚫 Do not copy text from other students' exhibits
  • 🚫 Do not share your written content with classmates
  • Do use your own words to summarize what you learn
  • Do cite all sources you reference in your research

Exhibits are monitored for copied content. Work that appears to be copied will be flagged for review.
